Individual worlds

Critera same as the last time, must be above level 21. Any changes to HP/mount/minion/gear counts character as active.

Summary

Out of a total 1.7m characters on the lodestone, 733,267 have met the above criterion. Of those, 255,626 are new.

The JP servers have best player retention rates, EU servers have the worst.
NA servers have the largest amount of new characters, EU servers have the worst.
There's a pattern in there.

Veteran Rewards

Roughly 150k people have the 540 day rewards. A saddeningly smaller number than during the previous survey's 260k of 360 day rewards, though it could just be a calendar thing.

Mounts and stuff

This one is interesting. 200k people have the Hildy minon. At least 36k people have cleared Fcob. 801k have cleared 2.0 but only 301k have cleared the 2.5 quest. 3500 people have the ADS mount, 4200 people have the Kirin mount. 53k people have paid for the bonus marriage sets based on number of people with the grand chocobo.

Clicking on any minion/mount when viewing the inidividual world statistics will bring up the global numbers for it.

Checking the Louix minion, Fcob clears are up to 10% for most JP servers while still negligible everywhere else.

Questions diverses

Un grand nombre de skills vont être ajoutés entre les niveaux 51 à 60.
Non, vous ne les débloquerez pas tous les 5 niveaux.
Tout le monde devra en conséquence retravailler sa rotation de combat.
Il n'y a pas assez de place sur l'interface HB/XHB (?) pour toutes ces actions. Ils ont un plan pour régler ça.
Le cap des insignes poétiques n'a pas été enlevé car le stuff ilvl 130 est un peu haut pour les premiers niveaux de Ishgard. (des précédentes interviews ont mentionnés que ce stuff sera toujours valable jusqu'au niveau 55).
Le prochain raid à 24 viendra à la 3.1.
Les invocations de primordiaux de compagnie libre ont été décalées à 'plus tard'.
Les add-ons maison ont été mis en veilleuse car la sortie d'Heavensward était la priorité. (ils ont ajouté trop de choses).
Pas d'intention de montrer de TP (?).
Les nouveaux jobs n'auront pas d'arme du zodiaque.
Les nouvelles quêtes du zodiaque commenceront à la 3.1. Du travail a été fourni sur la scénarisation.
Les nouveaux jobs auront des armes de primordial.
L'invocateur a été entièrement retravaillé. Notamment le tri-désastre.
L'agrandissement de l'armurerie viendra plus tard.
Le nombre de servants va augmenter. Peut-être 4 ?
Des nouveaux terrains de housing viendront après Ishgard.
Le niveau max des chocobos va augmenter (plus de 20 donc).
Vous avez juste besoin d'acheter l'extension pour pouvoir jouer un Aura. Pas d'autre condition.
Une nouvelle carte est prévue pour Wolves Den ainsi que d'autre PVP.
Un mode entrainement pour les raids pourrait arriver. (pouvoir s'entrainer sur différentes phases de boss individuellement).
Les nouvelles attractions du Gold Saucer arriveront à la 3.1

Ishgard

Ishgard est divisé en 2 niveaux. Les paysans en bas et les nobles en haut.
Le niveau inférieur est rempli de ruines liées aux invasions de dragon
Principalement des bâtiments en pierre.
Le niveau supérieur a de nombreuses structures religieuses.
Les Douze Chevaliers, retenez ceci. (référence à l'invocation de FF7 ?)

Les montagnes dravaniennes

Elles se situent très à l'ouest.
Des dragons y vivent.
Koji a travaillé dur pour créer le langage des dragons.
La tribu des Guna y vit.

Les plaines dravaniennes

Des chutes d'eau tombent des montagnes dans cette zone, donc elle contient beaucoup d'éléments aquatiques.
Cette région n'a pas été envahiea par les dragons.
Elle contient plein de structures archélogiques anciennes.
Il y a en particulier une cité Sharlayenne abandonnée. Un peu comme l'ancienne Constantinople. Une grande cité d'érudits.
Elle a un style grec.
Les érudits utilisaient des cartes du tarot pour prévoir l'avenir.

La mer de nuages dravanienne

Située à l'ouest de Ishgard, au dessus des montagnes.
Il y a des ruines ici pour certaines raisons, qui sont une part importante du scenario.
Les 7 dragons célestes représentent une part importante de l'histoire.
Les Aura n'ont aucun lien avec les dragons. Leur style est plutôt en rapport avec les démons.

La mer de nuages Abarasienne

A l'est d'Ishgard
Contient d'importantes différences de niveaux (de terrain). Les montures volantes sont nécessaires ici.
La tribu des Vanu Vanu y réside.

Le continent flottant

En travaillant sur la zone, j'ai versé dans la manipulation génétique et la bio-ingénierie (Koji qui parle).

I left out stuff that I remembered being in the live letter. Apologies for any repeat info; hard to keep up with the flood of news today. I might look through the Dengeki interview later too if I have time.

New jobs will be available right away upon entering Ishgard, but you will have to go back to ARR content to level them up.
XP balance will remain the same as in ARR. Main scenario will give a sizable chunk but eventually you will need to do fates, dungeons, map exploration etc to keep up (just like post-42 in ARR where the quests dry up).
Both Coerthas West Highlands and the lower layer of Abalathia are accessible at lv50; you can choose where to start. This is to split up the massive number of players that will be doing the main scenario at the same time (both paths will converge later on).

4 of the new dungeons are associated with the main scenario. The other 4 are unlocked via side quests like Qarn.

Entering a dungeon with fewer than the required number of players is done simply by having the party leader select a new option in DF. You won't be able to replenish roles, and there will be no level sync. (Yes it says that. 「レベルシンクもかからないものになります。」)This feature is available for most ARR content, but not Heavensward content. The plan is to make it available for more content in future updates.

The existing low level roulette will be combined with the low level Heavensward dungeons into a Main Story Roulette. The level 50 dungeons will be combined into the Hard roulette and the level 60 Heavensward dungeons will be the Expert roulette.

When you are in a fully premade party, you can change the loot rules. "Master Loot" passes all of the loot to the party leader, who will distribute it amongst the party members. "All Greed" makes it so that you can only roll Greed or Pass. These rules only apply to treasure chests, not random drops from trash mobs or things like TT cards. If you use DF matching then you can only use the default Need/Greed/Pass.

Primals will drop tokens to all players the same way Diamond Dust from Shiva EX works, which can be saved up and exchanged for weapons.

Won't give info on Alexander Savage loot system yet. It won't be open until 4 weeks after release, so YoshiP will go over the loot system in a live letter before then.

Alexander Normal loot will work the same way Crystal Tower did. You can run a turn as much as you want, but can only loot one item per week. Each turn has a separate lockout.

Alexander was designed by a combination of staff who worked on BCoB, SCoB, and FCoB.

Alexander Normal will be harder than CT, but not too difficult as long as you put effort into learning it. You won't be able to one-shot it.

Various small adjustments to existing skills, such as reduced animation lock after DRG jumps.

Most crafting/gathering gear will be crafted.

Patch cycle will be same as ARR with even numbered patches raising the item level cap. It will rise faster though (greater than the 20 ilvls at a time in ARR).

When you reach level 60 the first gear you aim for is i170, similar to Darklight in ARR.

You will be able to obtain glamour-only versions of previous relic steps. In-game reasoning is that Gerolt remembers what the previous steps look like and can replicate the appearance even if he can't guarantee the stats. Possibly only available for people who have completed up to Zeta.

NQ crafted gear will probably be about 90% as good as HQ (compared to the 80% in ARR).

Materia V will be very rare at 3.0 launch but rates will gradually increase as higher level gear is spiritbonded.

High level crafted gear coming in patch 3.05, which is also when the required crafter scrips will be added.

FC crafting is unlocked by placing the basement workshop. There are 3 components: crafting stand (for company crafting), control stand (for planning airshop voyages), and blueprint stand (for creating new recipes).

Required items for blueprint stand vary depending on what you want to make. Airship recipe mats can be obtained from airship voyages, new recipes are unlocked as your airship rank increases, etc.

The basement workshop will cost less than 1 million gil.

No plans to increase capacity of company chest, but you will be able to access it from the workshop. So free companies should clean up their company chests in preparation. (YoshiP's FC's chest apparently still has a ton of pudding minions from WP in it.)

Crafters will gain new skills through leveling until 55; after that there are skills that you can only use as a Specialist.

Patch 3.1 and 3.2 will see improvements to the Wolves Den system. First, 3.1 will add matching based on points/rating. But there are bigger plans as well, such as season-based ranking that resets with each major patch. The highest ranked players will get special titles and items. Wants to end up with a similar system to LoL. This would probably be in patch 3.2.

There is actually an invisible light in front of the player character that lights them up, but this has been turned off for the Heavensward zones to add to the gothic atmosphere. You can turn it back on in the settings to return to the ARR atmosphere. Turning it off also changes how ARR zones will look.

Guarantee parry when attacked from the front, but guaranteed critical hit if received from the flank.

Heals 5000 HP.

New Dragoon Limit Break seen in Benchmark
Blood of the Dragon

Allows use of a 4th part to the Full Thrust and Chaos Thrust combos.
Able to consume Blood of the Dragon for a strong attack.

Adjustment to animation locks for Jumps.

Gain up to 5 stacks
At 5 stacks, you can use a high-damaging skill
Alternatively you can use Chakra to restore TP

**Probably nothing to do with Bahamut and is just locations we will be visiting that was built by the Allagans. Though they did say we will learn more about Bahamut… Who knows!

***As above, but this also appears to be the place where we saw the Warring Triad from FF6 in the Tour of Heavensward video. Also appears to be a separate location. Otherwise that “Coil” dungeon is incredibly large in scale.

Normal and Savage Modes available.

Normal mode the equivalent of a Story mode, easier than current Coils, beatable in a day or two.

Savage mode harder than the Coils of Bahamut, as hard as “Final Coil of Bahamut Savage”.

Alexander gear from Story and Savage look the same except Savage mode gear can be dyed
